ROUTES

All routes start and end in front of the CoRec. Feel free to join us on these routes Mon-Fri at 4:45pm!

HORT TO COURSE

A trail run through the Horticulture forest, then exits on to the Purdue Cross Country course. A somewhat hilly option, but plenty of shade.

INDUSTRIAL ROUTE

You really get to see the bowels of Purdue on this route.

CHERRY LANE

A good short route for a shakeout run. Minimal hills but on the side of the road for a stretch.

CAMPUS LOOP

The classic PURC route. A smooth-sailing, flat route around academic campus.

AIRPORT

AKA Sleepy T, T for tarmac. If you're lucky, you'll see the Purdue basketball team boarding their flight.

LINDBERG

A nice loop run featuring views of the Golf Course and Celery Bog. The entirety of the route is on a paved bike path or sidewalk.

DIAMOND

A good mid-distance out-and-back run with lovely views of the Celery Bog. On a paved bike path for the entirety of the route.

HAPPY HOLLOW

Due to construction on River Road, this is the adjusted route. Fairly hilly, but lovely winding downhill on the paved path through Happy Hollow Park and through local neighborhoods.

FIREHOUSE

A route across the river into Lafayette. A fairly hilly option with views of the courthouse and the firehouse at the top of the hill.

WALMART

A longer route that runs up through Celery Bog on the paved bike path. The turnaround point is the Walmart store, and it's downhill on the sidewalk all the way back.

TREE FARM

Out and back along some peaceful, rolling country roads that leads to a Purdue forest nursery.

T.O.D.

AKA Trail of Death. The quintessential rolling, country roads route that leads all the way down to Fort Ouiatenon.

RIVER TRAIL

An out-and-back route through Chauncey to the Wabash River Trail. Can be shortened or lengthened with great views of a famous Indiana river.

BEAVERS

A long out and back to the Beaver Marsh far north of campus. Legend has it that if you see any beavers, you will run a PR in your next race!

NEIGHBORHOOD LOOP

Just north of Ross-Ade and Mackey, this is the loop we often use for tempos and other timed workouts. The warmup from the CoRec to here is around 1.3 miles.

WEST LAF. JR/SR HS TRACK

This is a public track just off of campus near Mackey Arena. The sprint group meets here MWF, and the distance group comes for measured workouts.
